Hi everyone! My name is Ainsley Baker and I’m in my third year of Health Sciences in the French stream! When I’m not drowning in schoolwork I like to hang out with friends, watch really bad reality TV, and try different restaurants; I LOVE food. I’m super excited to be apart of the HSSA this year! As co-president, I want to ensure our students have the best experience possible during their time here at UOttawa. My number one priority is making sure there is a strong bond between our team and you, our students, so that you all feel like you have someone in your corner whenever you have any questions or concerns. My favourite event is definitely winter formal! It’s so fun to get all dressed up and have a great night with your friends.
Heyyyooo, HSS. That’s right, I got a promotion. Who saw this coming?? For those of you who don’t know me, I’m a fourth year Health Sciences Student with a specialization in Integrative Health Biosciences. I am a loud, energetic, and rambunctious person so always feel free to say hey! In my downtime I’m an avid consumer of sports, craft beers, and the finest of Kraft Dinner cheeses. I can’t tell you how excited I am to be your incoming Co-President for the 2022-23 school year. We have so many amazing things planned from 101 Week and Shinerama, all the way to HealthSci Formal. It’s been a long time coming HSS, but we can’t wait to get back to working with you all on campus to make this the best year we can. If you ever have any questions or concerns, or maybe you just wanna reach out, you can always find myself and Ainsley at our email listed below. Cheers to a great year! My favourite event definitely has to be Formal. Nothin says let’s end the year right like an open bar.

Hey! My name is Harmony Selman, and I am going into my third year in Health Sciences with a minor in Psychology. In my free time I like hanging out with my friends, listening to music, hiking, and meeting new people – come say hi! I am so thrilled to be a part of the HSSA this year, as your VP of Finance! As your VP of Finance it is my job to oversee all financial transactions for the HSSA. These past two years have shown me how important it is to be rewarded, and it is time for us Health Science students to enjoy some time connecting with our peers. On that note, this year I plan to work hand in hand with the VP of Social Affairs along with other execs to plan some great events for everyone, on a deserving budget!
VP Philanthropic Affairs
Hello HSS students! My name is Harneet Cheema, and I am starting my fourth year of Health Sciences! What I would like to accomplish in my position... As your Vice-President of Philanthropy, my objective is to hold charitable events and fundraisers to amplify the voices of HSS students who feel strongly about current issues. I strive to be the connecting point between your opinions and the executive council. Favourite event... Out of all HSS events, I definitely love Shinerama the most! I think it’s a great opportunity network while giving back to our community.
Hi everyone! My name is Nimrit Kenth and I am a fourth year Health Science student. Outside of school I love swimming, playing piano, and hiking. My favourite pastimes are baking and spending time with my family. My favourite events, because it is impossible to pick just one would have to be 101 week and Winter Formal. 101 week is a great event to meet many of your close friends at university, both first years and upper years. Definitely one of the moments you will remember the most from university. Winter formal allows you to reconnect with Health Science students you have not seen in a while, and it’s a great night to take a break and have fun. What I would like to accomplish in my position... Within my advisory position, my goals consist of working with the council to help guide students on their undergraduate journey. I hope to provide students with more career path guidance, information about volunteering or research, and use my 4 years of undergraduate experience to help students have the best experience possible, both academically and socially.

Favorite event: My favorite event is definitely 101 Week but more specifically, carnival day! It is an excellent way to start off the year on a positive note. This event allows you to meet other first year students and create many friendships.
